Find Me
"I wait for someone to come but no one does. For some one, anyone to be close to me, to comfort me. I look to my right only to see darkness. Darkness that hovers over me like a shadow never wanting to leave. Burying me deeper and deeper into the unknown. Darkness of loneliness all around. So I look to my left, only to see more darkness, and still there is no one there to help me. They have left me ...here, and I don’t know where here is. My mind sinks lower and lower into despair. Where have they gone? Will anyone come back or are they gone forever? Will I find them if I try or will I just be mistake, a mistake I would wish I never took.
My face feels as if it has never been touched by other human. Never touched by someone with warm, gentle hands. How I want to feel the warmth of other. Mine are just so cold and bitter. I fall to the ground and let the ground take over my body, until that someone can find me before it’s to late." - Beautiful Soul Secrets

Culture
Bring soul into the world
"We live in a culture that is greatly biased against the imagination, because our culture is very materialistic, objective and literal. Our culture lacks soul, and doesn’t know it, although it experiences the consequences. When you don’t know what’s missing, then of course you don’t know what to bring in, even though you feel something is missing."
“We live in a world that needs more soul, more meaning. We, as conscious beings, have, as our primary responsibility, at this time in human history, the task of bringing soul into the world, or releasing soul into the world. We do this, first of all, in ourselves and in our own personal world; then we do it in our groups – including family; then we do it in our society through our work, relationships and presence there.”

Our Essence
“No matter how painful our early experiences were, our Essence cannot be harmed. Our Essence is waiting for the opportunity to reveal itself. In a very true sense, we are waiting for the opportunity to become ourselves. Our spirit is yearning to break free, to express itself.
And yet, ironically, we always fear and resist opening to that which is most real in us. When we trust in the process and give ourselves over to it, however, our true nature comes forth. The result is real integrity, love, authenticity, creativity, understanding, guidance, joy, power, and serenity—all of the qualities we are forever demanding that personality supply.”

Easter Blessings
"Beyond bunnies, baskets, chocolate, and jelly beans, Easter calls us to the profound practice of resurrection of the body. Resurrection is about entering the fire of our passion and letting it burn brightly. It is about what enlivens us and makes us feel vital. It is about feeling the full weight and lightness of our physical being. As Mary Oliver writes in a poem: "What is name of the deep breath (you) would take over and over for all of us?" or do you continue to do as Mary asks in another of her splendid poems: "Listen, are you breathing just a little, and calling it a life?" What would it mean for you to open yourself fully to the sacred breath moving through and sustaining you moment by moment? How might you let your dreams and passion be resurrected this season?" - Abbey of the Arts

What is Religion For?
"We have become used to thinking that religion should provide us with information. Is there a God? How did the world come into being? But this is a modern preoccupation. Religion was never supposed to provide answers to questions that lay within the reach of human reason. That was the role of logos.
Religion's task, closely allied to that of art, was to help us live creatively, peacefully, and even joyfully with realities for which there were no easy explanations and problems that we could not solve: mortality, pain, grief, despair, and outrage at the injustice and cruelty of life." - Karen Armstrong (from "The Case for God")

On Manifestation
"Manifestation is an act of trust. It is the soul pouring itself out into its world, like a fisherman casting a net to gather in the fish he seeks; with each cast properly made, we will bring what we need to us, but first we must hurl ourselves into the depths without knowing just what lies beneath us." - David Spangler (from The Daily Guru)
Being Here Now

Shaman Wisdom
"In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person
complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they
would ask one of four questions. When did you stop dancing? When did
you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When
did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?" ~
Gabrielle Roth

About Faith
"Faith is the ability to live at more than a mundane level: to see, to feel, and to act in terms of a transcendent dimension that is. Though it's an orientation of the individual personality, it's been nurtured and shaped by religious traditions and therefore comes in different forms: Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, etc. It enables one to feel at home in the universe - to find meaning and purpose in the world and in one's own life. That meaning is profound and ultimate, relating us as finite beings to an infinite reality far beyond us, as well as to a sense of centeredness deep within us. That sense of ultimate purpose is stable regardless of what happens to each of us personally in the buffeting of life events. In fact, a great strength of faith is how it allows us to look beyond ourselves and beyond material realities to the ideal and the absolute." - Rev. Scotty McLennan (from "Jesus was a Liberal")
